I have lived in ijburg for many years and have always been an active member in our community.
my children have finished university and have there masters. One son specialising in Sustainable energy and the other in Renewable energy. Both aspects important for our future. I am proud of their achievements.
Artist/Teacher/education.
I am a ‘Community Artist’ I like to create projects with community members addressing issues in the community.
Art is a powerful form of communication and therapy which has a unique ability to trendsend cultural and linguistic boundaries. It can be brash sublime basic or intricate. I try to help audience gain a deeper understanding and make a link between the person making the art and the situation that needs to be addressed.
I am involved in Stichting Room for All.
and we have provided 6 diverse book for all primary schools in Amsterdam. And have recently launched 4 more.
I initiated poppenkast_Ijburg during the time of Covid. I felt that our community energy needed up lifting. To laugh, communicate and for children to use their creative imagination.
Even more wild flower seeds to be planted. It would be great to get the whole neighborhood involved in planting more seeds.
Have mire cross cultural connections within the ijburg communities on the whole.
